Patchy clouds at best, and the wind was mostly in the red. The tracking stayed smooth all night, and the radar looked somewhat ok, so I pushed the closing limits and we stayed open all night. I pushed it until about an hour before twilight started, then closed. Yuri Izotov was observing from Germany, and we had periods of slow connectivity and waiting for information to get through. But we limped along and had a productive run. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:10 APOLLO 700( 899) 90 48 2.6 3.5 3.8 3.5 2.6 -- 1.80 18:12 dis-slit 497( -116) 89 48 0.5 1.3 1.8 1.4 0.9 -- 1.21 00:27 dis-slit 373( -265) 207 66 1.4 1.2 1.6 1.2 1.0 -- 1.60 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 38 17 23 256 (WSW) 49 mstly cldy none 17:00 37 17 23 250 (WSW) 52 mstly cldy none 18:00 38 16 22 251 (WSW) 25 mstly cldy none 19:00 38 15 22 262 (W) 36 mstly cldy none 20:00 41 11 22 217 (SW) 42 cloudy none 21:00 38 14 26 225 (SW) 49 cloudy none 22:00 36 16 27 207 (SSW) 72 mstly cldy none 23:00 34 15 27 225 (SW) 134 ptly cldy none 00:00 34 12 26 215 (SW) 149 ptly cldy none 01:00 35 10 26 214 (SW) 114 ptly cldy none 02:00 36 9 32 229 (SW) 72 cloudy none 03:00 34 7 34 229 (SW) 88 cloudy none 04:00 33 9 35 226 (SW) 179 cloudy none 05:00 31 11 31 225 (SW) 271 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
