Second half observer did have some minor dificulty when ecam stopped responding properly but we were able to get it back online in short order. The dead monitor caused some annoyances. In my case the DIS window opened on the desktop associated with the dead monitor and there was a brief panic while trying to locate it. I used Jack's work-around and didn't have any more problems for the rest of the night. Jon hopes the replacement will arrive on Monday. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:58 TSPEC 377( 344) 338 75 6.4 9.2 8.4 9.4 7.2 1.45 20:04 ECHELLE 387( -995) 284 53 7.2 7.0 7.1 6.7 6.7 ND2 0.84 21:49 ECHELLE 453( -966) 1 66 6.8 6.5 7.0 6.6 6.5 ND3 0.68 00:23 ECHELLE 454( -923) -80 29 6.9 6.3 6.8 6.6 6.8 ND2 1.30 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 52 8 9 270 (W) 72 clear none 17:00 45 8 1 307 (NW) 100 clear none 18:00 45 5 4 284 (WNW) 41 clear none 19:00 45 5 6 272 (W) 67 clear none 20:00 45 6 6 255 (WSW) 52 clear none 21:00 45 12 9 324 (NW) 122 clear none 22:00 45 12 7 258 (WSW) 82 clear none 23:00 43 12 14 238 (WSW) 93 clear none 00:00 45 4 14 259 (W) 35 clear none 01:00 44 8 17 278 (W) 75 clear none 02:00 45 3 19 297 (WNW) 28 mstly clr none 03:00 45 3 17 289 (WNW) 32 mstly clr none 04:00 44 2 16 303 (WNW) 27 mstly clr none 05:00 44 4 13 278 (W) 45 clear none 06:00 44 3 12 280 (W) 40 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
