We got on the sky around 21:30 with clouds coming back in around 22:00. We observed thru them but not a whole lot of productive science, especially after 23:30. We stayed open until 03:00, when the observer called it quits due to the weather. Things weren't looking to improve from the satellite and she needed long periods of clear sky, as she exhausted all her backups. due to clouds, last night and earlier in the evening tonight. GFP was mounted this morning (counter weights still set for DIS since I will be using TSPEC first thing tomorrow and the weight setting is closer at DIS than GFP). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:36 dis-slit 510( 399) 14 58 9.6 11.3 10.2 11.2 9.7 -- 1.57 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 25 8 264 (W) 184 mstly cldy none 17:00 53 28 7 248 (WSW) 190 cloudy none 18:00 50 28 10 283 (WNW) 305 cloudy none 19:00 50 28 7 262 (W) 276 cloudy none 20:00 49 28 7 231 (SW) 309 mstly cldy none 21:00 49 28 6 261 (W) 357 ptly cldy none 22:00 50 28 13 268 (W) 300 mstly cldy none 23:00 49 31 11 247 (WSW) 291 mstly cldy none 00:00 49 31 12 225 (SW) 495 cloudy none 01:00 48 32 11 231 (SW) 671 cloudy none 02:00 48 32 12 210 (SSW) 672 cloudy none 03:00 47 31 12 224 (SW) 397 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
