Delayed opening due to local radar with clouds over site. Tertiary error while slewing to first target, 0300UTC (was not seen during checkout). When switching from ECHELLE to DIS the tertiary actuators stopped responding. Changing instrument to something different then returning to original configuration fixed this problem. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UC03 D T/H 21:00 21:12 Tertiary error for moving actuators ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:22 dis-slit 260( 558) 252 52 18.9 19.3 19.2 18.9 18.9 -- 1.48 00:48 dis-slit 185( 390) 234 43 17.5 17.3 17.6 17.1 17.2 -- 1.84 01:15 ECHELLE 274( -550) 83 27 17.1 17.0 17.2 16.7 16.8 clear 2.14 03:41 ECHELLE 311( -620) 52 55 16.1 15.9 16.2 15.6 15.7 ND2 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 30 24 292 (WNW) 1816 ptly cldy lt rain 17:00 69 27 22 262 (W) 2454 mstly cldy none 18:00 69 29 22 262 (W) 2198 mstly cldy lt rain 19:00 68 31 15 252 (WSW) 2273 mstly clr none 20:00 67 30 16 260 (W) 2314 mstly clr none 21:00 66 28 16 267 (W) 2170 ptly cldy none 22:00 66 23 12 269 (W) 1948 mstly cldy none 23:00 64 24 19 286 (WNW) 1712 clear none 00:00 64 23 20 290 (WNW) 1490 clear none 01:00 63 23 23 287 (WNW) 1316 clear none 02:00 62 23 22 270 (W) 1326 clear none 03:00 61 23 22 269 (W) 1380 clear none 04:00 60 22 15 263 (W) 1318 clear none 05:00 60 22 16 265 (W) 1221 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
