While closing at end of the night it was noticed that the altitude brake was not engaging, see PR1259. Clouds interfered with some of the engineering tasks but much was completed. Checked echelle interorder light (12.9). Verified NICFPS is still failing upside down. Restarted Nimble and AgileICC. NTP client error on startup, no further problems after image was taken. Zeroed the NA2 rotator. Pointing model taken and implemented. Collimation checked with AGILE and SPICAM. Collimation looked good. Fastcam data taken. SPICAM throughput measurements taken. DIS spectrograph focus checked against slitviewer focus. 25 micron difference noticed. SPICAM standards taken at different CCD temperatures. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:45 FASTCAM 215( 459) 265 55 4.9 6.8 6.0 5.9 5.5 -- 1.58 23:15 GUIDER 269( -85) 251 80 4.1 4.1 4.4 4.0 4.0 Red ND2 1.55 02:25 dis-slit 214( -447) -14 36 1.8 2.1 2.2 1.8 1.8 -- 1.88 03:00 SPICAM 142( -316) 20 60 1.9 1.8 2.0 1.4 1.6 MSSSO R 1.26 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 49 30 23 226 (SW) 1242 mstly cldy none 17:00 52 27 22 260 (W) 1479 mstly cldy none 18:00 49 26 23 263 (W) 2312 ptly cldy none 19:00 46 25 11 264 (W) 4392 mstly clr dust 20:00 42 24 18 291 (WNW) 3860 mstly clr none 21:00 41 23 13 295 (WNW) 2125 ptly cldy none 22:00 40 22 18 304 (NW) 2065 ptly cldy none 23:00 40 20 15 306 (NW) 2227 mstly clr none 00:00 39 18 20 298 (WNW) 2270 mstly clr none 01:00 37 19 18 298 (WNW) 1983 ptly cldy none 02:00 35 20 16 337 (NNW) 1664 mstly clr none 03:00 36 17 22 276 (W) 1833 clear none 04:00 33 20 18 280 (W) 1689 clear none 05:00 32 20 16 303 (WNW) 1224 clear none 06:00 32 20 13 321 (NW) 1390 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
