After Apollo did a new instrument block for NICFPS. Battled clouds a bit and the rotation expose failure. NICFPS rotation expose failures: UT 03:14 Rot = 177.9 "Leach controller config word changed" error UT 03:19 Rot = 121.4 "Leach controller config word changed" error UT 03:21 Rot = 122.7 "Potential problem with image" error Just "nicfps expose init" worked for recovering from the last error. Tried to do the NICFPS rotation exposure failure test. I could not get the NA2 rotator to travel very far without triggering a "Stop Button" message in TUI although no stop button was being pushed. I was moving the rotator thru talk to boxes. Had fairly repeatable "Stop Button" errors at: -89, -119, -108. Therefore I could not get the rotator to move through enough degrees to properly test the expose failures that way; However, I did test Rot = 118 through 125 tracking on a target, but could not get the expose to fail again. GFP group took over at midnight. They were very successful with internal instrument tests and calibrations. And we got a new instrument block for GFP as well. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:35 NICFPS 76( 265) -4 59 7.3 7.8 7.8 7.0 7.2 1.99 01:22 GFP 50( -236) -7 70 5.6 5.4 5.7 4.9 5.3 0.80 03:36 GFP -25( -338) 24 55 5.2 4.6 4.8 4.0 4.4 6555 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 9 13 249 (WSW) 1040 mstly cldy none 17:00 51 8 14 271 (W) 1136 mstly cldy none 18:00 46 12 7 224 (SW) 1525 mstly cldy none 19:00 45 11 6 246 (WSW) 1471 mstly cldy none 20:00 45 9 16 217 (SW) 1280 mstly cldy none 21:00 45 9 16 227 (SW) 1162 cloudy none 22:00 44 9 11 218 (SW) 1082 cloudy none 23:00 44 9 9 234 (SW) 1135 cloudy none 00:00 43 8 6 242 (WSW) 1222 ptly cldy none 01:00 43 10 4 258 (WSW) 1232 ptly cldy none 03:00 40 8 6 339 (NNW) 1255 ptly cldy none 04:00 41 8 0 296 (WNW) 1225 ptly cldy none 05:00 40 8 9 2 (N) 1264 ptly cldy none 06:00 41 7 9 3 (N) 1238 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
