They were rapidly moving and tended to thin, then re-thicken on exactly the most inconvenient timescales. Although the dome was open for the entire night, I counted a few hours as lost to weather because of the clouds. The clouds cleared up before midnight and everything got much easier, although pointing was generally over 2 arcseconds. The DIS slitviewer shutter continued to misbehave on about 30-50% of images. There were an unusual number of "fiducial error too large to correct" messages from azimuth, requiring occasional reslews. During afternoon checkout it appeared that the GFP vacuum was rather soft, but since the instrument is about to go out of service we decided to just fill it and finish off the night. Mirror covers were working in auto mode at the beginning of the night but needed to be in manual mode by morning.
