Can we say COLD!!! Temperature hit -27.8C tonight BRRRR..... The mirror covers were very unhappy at this temperature in auto mode. They worked fine in manual mode. The Dome Mac also was not happy with the extreme cold and crashed. I could not get it to reboot without crashing again. Telescope parked due S to let the sun do its work during the daytime. DIS blue ion pump turned off, per Bill. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 -1 -9 1 124 (SE) 359 ptly cldy none 17:00 -8 -15 15 70 (ENE) 983 ptly cldy none 18:00 -12 -19 18 64 (ENE) 334 mstly clr none 19:00 -14 -20 21 64 (ENE) 287 clear none 20:00 -16 -20 22 68 (ENE) 855 clear none 21:00 -16 -21 23 70 (ENE) 262 clear none 22:00 -17 -21 20 70 (ENE) 351 clear none 23:00 -16 -21 7 67 (ENE) 399 clear none 00:00 -17 -22 14 68 (ENE) 344 clear none 01:00 -15 -19 15 60 (ENE) 337 clear none 02:00 -14 -18 20 70 (ENE) 342 clear none 03:00 -14 -18 18 65 (ENE) 358 clear none 04:00 -13 -17 15 67 (ENE) 326 clear none 05:00 -13 -17 19 68 (ENE) 311 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
