Successes: focus, instrument block, and orientation were all very close to what was expected, and image quality appeared good. Problems: some motor positions were not well known and with the CAMAC powered down, various pieces of optics were not held in place and kept moving randomly into the field of view, making it difficult to establish the position of the IFS relative to the imager. Varying clouds contributed to the difficulty, but the clouds also meant there was nothing more valuable to spend time on. We finally got some pretty and useful pictures in morning twilight. I also did some additional work with testing of the upgraded Agile drivers and slew stops and supersedes. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 06:27 GFP 0( -210) 36 65 6.2 6.9 6.9 6.4 6.5 1.06 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 52 18 22 258 (WSW) 499 clear none 17:00 50 18 30 264 (W) 524 clear none 18:00 46 16 22 247 (WSW) 606 clear none 19:00 46 16 18 229 (SW) 590 clear none 20:00 46 17 19 226 (SW) 673 clear none 21:00 45 17 17 243 (WSW) 772 ptly cldy none 22:00 45 16 14 246 (WSW) 739 ptly cldy none 23:00 44 16 25 244 (WSW) 856 ptly cldy none 00:00 43 14 20 253 (WSW) 1405 ptly cldy none 01:00 41 15 16 246 (WSW) 1399 ptly cldy none 02:00 39 17 17 232 (SW) 1434 ptly cldy none 03:00 39 19 21 241 (WSW) 1208 ptly cldy none 04:00 38 21 23 241 (WSW) 1016 ptly cldy none 05:00 38 21 20 261 (W) 1066 ptly cldy none 06:00 37 22 26 253 (WSW) 1007 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
