Ran the snow program at about 16:30. Checked the roof, there is lots of snow and some ice. Ice on the very top of the lightning rods. Should the snow miraculously stop, I'll check the roof again. Snow did stop, and the clouds cleared for a little while. But there are icecicles on the roof and still lots of snow (no wind to blow it off). Stopped snow program at 05:15 and left telescope parked pointing south, alt=75 deg. Towards the morning, there was some blowing snow and perhaps a few flurries. Sidewalks and site roads a bit slick. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 23 21 9 359 (N) 805 cloudy snow 17:00 21 20 7 3 (N) 653 cloudy lt snow 18:00 21 19 10 266 (W) 591 cloudy humid 19:00 19 16 5 270 (W) 656 mstly cldy humid 20:00 20 13 2 296 (WNW) 655 clear humid 21:00 20 17 1 27 (NNE) 493 clear humid 22:00 19 17 3 190 (S) 419 clear humid 23:00 17 16 9 150 (SSE) 383 ptly cldy humid 00:00 17 15 2 187 (S) 431 ptly cldy humid 01:00 18 15 14 133 (SE) 365 ptly cldy humid 02:00 18 17 10 146 (SE) 288 cloudy lt snow 03:00 18 16 14 144 (SE) 324 cloudy humid 04:00 17 15 18 146 (SE) 486 cloudy humid 05:00 15 13 13 139 (SE) 493 cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
