I called Bill and he said to power them back up and re-home DIS. All was well with DIS after that and DIS checked out fine. I saw fiducial errors a few times on the Az drive, but no problems like last night. Problems still with Agile during checkout. Same symptoms as last night. Note: be sure to take object and not biases for testing/checkout, biases work without the timing signal but objects DO NOT. It appears we are still not getting a signal from the fiber on the fiber converter on the instrument. I went up and did not see any lights blinking. I left UW01 (Anjum) with access to Agile for help in daytime testing. She will be in contact with Bill/Fritz. I believe the TSPEC focus script worked correctly in setting both the binning back to 2 and the window back to Full. This is with TUI 1.9.4a1, the other focus scripts leave the guiders subframed. Russell knows about this problem already. I left the telescope at 104,80 for Agile work today. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:30 ECHELLE 687( -529) -76 50 6.6 10.1 8.2 10.2 7.3 ND3 0.92 19:21 ECHELLE 541( -802) -32 53 5.9 7.7 7.2 7.3 6.1 ND2 0.90 20:26 ECHELLE 454( -934) -53 44 6.3 6.6 6.7 6.4 6.2 ND2 1.30 21:57 ECHELLE 401( -993) -71 27 6.1 5.9 6.3 5.9 5.8 ND3 1.25 06:01 ECHELLE 428(-1000) 246 65 8.4 6.3 6.6 6.5 7.2 ND2 1.00 06:31 TSPEC 389( 256) 239 49 9.0 6.9 7.2 7.2 7.9 Ks 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 52 14 11 232 (SW) 1071 clear none 17:00 49 15 8 264 (W) 1210 clear none 18:00 45 12 12 201 (SSW) 1675 clear none 19:00 43 11 12 185 (S) 1927 clear none 20:00 44 13 15 206 (SSW) 1826 mstly clr none 21:00 43 15 16 219 (SW) 2745 mstly clr none 22:00 43 16 11 215 (SW) 2907 ptly cldy none 23:00 41 16 12 218 (SW) 3133 ptly cldy none 00:00 40 16 10 211 (SSW) 3566 ptly cldy none 01:00 39 16 6 207 (SSW) 3738 ptly cldy none 02:00 43 16 13 237 (WSW) 2453 ptly cldy none 03:00 44 18 12 238 (WSW) 1402 ptly cldy none 04:00 44 18 12 215 (SW) 1229 ptly cldy none 05:00 46 13 13 218 (SW) 945 ptly cldy none 06:00 47 8 15 203 (SSW) 258 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
