I cleaned the Alt drive (which didn't look very dirty but did see some rust forming on the left side face of drive). This seemed to clear the motion errors but still saw lots of Alt slips. Alt axis slip @ approx 30.5, 65.6, 56.0, 46.4 Alt MS.DUMP done at 23:32:32 UT. The lampswitch got stuck and would not accept commands from TUI/Hub. I could control it via the web interface. Fritz will reset it in the morning. NICFPS focus script is broken (TUI 1.9.4a1). Could not load script, requestor popped up with errors. Seeing degraded at the end of the night to around 1.7 arc sec. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:46 NICFPS 244( 693) 38 54 9.9 12.4 12.2 12.3 10.3 Ks 0.87 20:09 NICFPS 319( 632) 24 56 9.4 9.9 10.3 9.7 9.3 Ks 0.76 01:11 ECHELLE 372( -900) -125 31 8.9 8.4 8.8 8.4 8.5 ND1 1.30 06:14 ECHELLE 410(-1024) -116 54 5.9 6.0 6.5 5.9 5.7 ND2 1.60 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 21 16 217 (SW) 944 clear none 17:00 53 20 15 248 (WSW) 1111 clear none 18:00 51 21 18 222 (SW) 1107 clear none 19:00 50 20 18 201 (SSW) 996 clear none 20:00 50 19 14 206 (SSW) 846 clear none 21:00 50 18 17 209 (SSW) 940 clear none 22:00 49 18 17 217 (SW) 1046 clear none 23:00 49 18 21 233 (SW) 1117 mstly clr none 00:00 48 18 22 251 (WSW) 970 mstly clr none 01:00 48 18 21 254 (WSW) 884 ptly cldy none 02:00 47 17 17 269 (W) 855 ptly cldy none 03:00 46 17 8 269 (W) 872 mstly clr none 04:00 45 15 14 249 (WSW) 1116 clear none 05:00 44 16 20 257 (WSW) 1360 clear none 06:00 43 15 15 247 (WSW) 1095 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
