I had a lot of trouble getting any images to wokr. Only 1 in 10-20 or so exposures are successful. I tried restarting nubs, restarting the program on slitty, power cycling it. Fritz said he'd look into it tomorrow. gcam was producing errors. The exposure would take but gmech was not communicating. Fritz fixed it. 1. Completed another pointing model. coeff change value sigma 1 IE +9.997 +514.17 1.705 2 IA -0.016 -188.92 2.693 3 AN +0.003 +3.92 0.773 4 AW -0.007 -2.09 0.776 5 CA +10.018 +78.30 2.071 6 PZZ1 -0.001 +487.17 1.797 7 ACEC -0.001 +1.21 1.197 8 ACES -0.001 +0.37 1.186 9 HACA2 +0.000 +1.80 1.075 10 HASA2 +0.000 -0.20 1.079 11 HZCA2 +0.000 +0.39 0.835 12 HZSA2 +0.000 +0.44 0.836 Sky RMS = 6.06 Popn SD = 6.44 2. Took exposures for TSPEC baffle. Files in tspec/baffletest.0001.fits through 21 are without the baffle, 22 - 41 are with baffle. Wasn't guiding so well in files 22-41. Tried to take a 3rd set at 3:30 but the moon light shining directly down onto the primary washed out the entire field, could not find the star. Went back to same star at 5:00am, files 43-62. 3. Took Shack-Hartmann data. Recommendations: tilt M2N1 31.5" and Back by 36.3" and: tilt M2N1 37.8" and Back by 19.7" But this was somewhat opposite what Russet did last night, so we looked with Agile. Visually we found that moving Ytilt by 45 and Xtilt by 25 looked best with Agile. 4. Started to collect Fastcam data. TR3 eyelid will not open. It does not even make any noise that sounds like it is trying to open. I tried opening and closing the covers but did not help. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:15 dis-slit 268( 44) 22 56 9.6 9.2 9.6 9.2 9.3 0.99 19:44 GUIDER 97( 243) -104 51 11.9 13.4 12.9 12.8 11.9 Red ND2 0.80 22:17 TSPEC 310( 431) 91 35 11.9 11.4 11.8 11.2 11.1 1.05 Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
