Second half winds increased past the closure limit. I pushed to stay open with high wind gusts since we were pointed away and were not seeing wind shake. Finally closed when gusts exceeded 50 mph. Winds stayed up the rest of the night. First half pointing was off a little with echelle. Put in corrections. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:20 ECHELLE 46(-1495) 284 39 2.8 3.6 3.5 2.9 3.0 ND2 1.17 21:22 ECHELLE 120(-1438) 266 23 2.7 2.6 2.9 2.6 2.6 ND2 1.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 39 9 10 321 (NW) 222 mstly clr none 17:00 37 8 11 343 (NNW) 220 mstly clr none 18:00 37 10 17 354 (N) 251 mstly clr none 19:00 37 9 15 326 (NW) 166 mstly clr none 20:00 37 10 7 351 (N) 157 mstly clr none 21:00 37 11 14 6 (N) 179 mstly clr none 22:00 37 12 26 10 (N) 174 mstly clr none 23:00 36 13 19 13 (NNE) 233 mstly clr none 00:00 35 14 30 23 (NNE) 230 mstly clr none 01:00 35 16 30 22 (NNE) 208 mstly clr none 02:00 34 22 30 18 (NNE) 212 mstly clr none 03:00 32 24 36 26 (NNE) 188 mstly clr none 04:00 38 24 20 20 (NNE) 92 mstly clr none 05:00 37 26 40 22 (NNE) 117 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
