There were a few squished moths on it. Clouds and the threat of rain kept us closed first half. Clouds dissapated for 2nd half but then the humidity was right at the closure limits which kept us closed. We gave up at 04:40 due to humidity and clouds. 04:41 (10:41UT) the Az drive started having lots of errors (as seen on the Dataq az_error and az_current) while slewing to the telescope park position. I didn't hear anything from the intermediate intercom but the drive eventually had a building collision (although it wasn't on either crash switches when I went up to the intermediate level to investigate) but that stop button was lit. Pressing a stop button and restarting the drives seemed to fix the problem. I slewed the telescope in az a few times and all was fine (I didn't hear any noises either while I was slewing it up in the dome). ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 57 49 21 41 (NE) cloudy rain 17:00 62 52 10 66 (ENE) cloudy none 18:00 64 51 6 108 (ESE) 585 cloudy none 19:00 62 54 9 80 (E) 786 cloudy none 20:00 60 54 7 89 (E) 677 cloudy none 21:00 59 51 8 358 (N) 515 mstly cldy none 22:00 56 53 12 30 (NNE) 3810 mstly cldy none 23:00 58 51 12 33 (NNE) 854 mstly cldy none 00:00 60 51 11 127 (SE) 892 mstly cldy none 01:00 58 51 10 177 (S) 869 ptly cldy none 02:00 58 52 11 181 (S) 1360 ptly cldy humid 03:00 58 53 12 158 (SSE) 1385 mstly clr humid 04:00 58 54 11 173 (S) 1686 mstly cldy humid 05:00 58 54 11 187 (S) 1568 mstly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
