Fog nearby at sunset, agreement between the two dewpoint sensors and condensation on cars outside all showed that the humidity was real, but it wouldn't budge. Since the telescope was warm I thought it might be possible to open for a short time, but the first program's science required longer exposures. I took advantage of a slight dip in dewpoint in the middle of the night, but soon enough the top end cooled and I had to follow the humidity limit more strictly. Focus was very high because I didn't turn the fans on. The observers were able to get a few usable spectra despite very poor seeing.
