UW08 finished a little early and gave the remaining time to JH01. We lost about an hours worth of time at various points during the first half due to clouds. Clouds again at 01:40 and radar echos getting near around 02:00 (when I closed). Called it a night at 04:30 with clouds and radar returns nearby, but no precip yet. No telescope problems tonight. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:15 dis-slit -5( 706) -76 68 19.8 22.6 21.2 21.4 21.0 -- 1.00 00:39 dis-slit 126( 614) 188 62 17.9 18.1 18.2 17.3 17.7 -- 1.60 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:00 37 37 10 210 (SSW) 1379 mstly cldy none 19:00 38 38 14 241 (WSW) 1261 mstly cldy none 20:00 36 36 8 248 (WSW) 1452 ptly cldy none 21:00 36 36 4 224 (SW) 1628 ptly cldy none 22:00 39 39 7 184 (S) 1263 ptly cldy none 23:00 45 45 16 126 (SE) 861 mstly cldy none 00:00 44 44 14 123 (ESE) 862 ptly cldy none 01:00 43 43 16 159 (SSE) 988 mstly cldy none 02:00 43 43 18 182 (S) 1474 mstly cldy none 03:00 44 44 18 200 (SSW) 3421 cloudy none 04:00 45 45 7 182 (S) 2790 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
