Spicam temp at inst change 170.2K Spicam temp at end of night 169.6K I got a ringing when I released the stop button then did an axis init (It did this twice as I pushed the stop button in/out and did another axis init). The telescope was at 104,20. I had not yet slewed the telescope from park position. The ringing went away as soon as I moved the alt/az. Nick said they may have accidently moved one of the drive boxes today and pointing may be off. I checked pointing with a couple of stars and things seeme fine. I also did a tertpoint correction and the adjustment values were small. I was able to get the drives to ring at -85,72 during the instrument swap. I pressed a stop button but did not issue and axis stop. When I released the stop button the axis started to ring. Axis stop stopped the ringing and it did not come back when I did an axis init. The drive was not ringing when the slew finished and I initially pressed the axis stop. This was around UT 07:15 or so. No time loss due to telescope problems. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:33 dis-slit 149( 524) 44 70 12.4 15.8 14.1 14.2 15.2 -- 0.90 01:22 TSPEC 136( 652) 8 49 12.2 12.2 12.5 11.3 12.0 Ks 1.40 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:00 65 22 8 220 (SW) 1437 clear none 19:00 61 21 9 255 (WSW) 1527 clear none 20:00 55 20 8 246 (WSW) 1701 clear none 21:00 54 18 10 233 (SW) 1582 clear none 22:00 54 18 2 198 (SSW) 1484 clear none 23:00 54 17 1 241 (WSW) 1458 clear none 00:00 56 15 6 238 (WSW) 1195 clear none 01:00 54 16 6 185 (S) 1280 clear none 02:00 52 16 10 142 (SE) 1474 clear none 03:00 53 19 13 148 (SSE) 1626 clear none 04:00 53 33 15 146 (SE) 1634 clear none 05:00 53 32 15 134 (SE) 1682 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
