Seeing varied widely over the night, both from intrinsic variation and because we covered a wide range of wavelengths. Measured seeing (all in the IR) ranged from 0.8 to 1.5 arcsec; estimated seeing at 530 nm went up to several arcseconds when a front moved through. Serious trouble moving the telescope in azimuth at checkout was resolved before sunset by a combination of lowering the maximum acceleration and wiping down the drives. Once we got on the sky, there were no further motion errors. I didn't hear any bad noises from the azimuth tonight, but there was some altitude ringing while tracking a target low in the south ( 1u per 0.1 cubic feet. TELESCOPE STATUS Telescope drives operational. Current TCC version: 2.12.0 Current TUI version: 1.7.2
