Usually a axis stop/init then a track slew command would fix it (if it failed the first time I tried the opposite direction). I didn't record all of the errors but below are a few. 04:33:29 - Az motion error too large 05:29:04 - Az motion error too large 06:05:48 - " " 07:29:49 - " " 07:31:27 - " " 07:45:19 - " " and several more during the night. Always during a slew, at the start, and not during tracking. Almost every slew gave an error if we were on the target for very long. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:20 SPICAM 77( 472) -139 76 11.2 11.2 11.3 10.6 10.9 665/8 1.10 21:21 NA2gdr 511(30511) -139 76 11.2 11.2 11.3 10.6 10.9 R 1.20 01:10 ECHELLE -121( -697) -74 36 10.0 9.9 10.2 9.6 9.9 ND2 1.20 02:34 dis-slit 188( 247) -133 57 9.4 9.2 9.4 8.6 9.0 -- 1.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 56 3 29 239 (WSW) 2472 clear none 17:00 56 2 30 268 (W) 1921 clear none 18:00 56 5 23 246 (WSW) 2167 clear none 19:00 55 5 17 264 (W) 1952 clear none 20:00 51 7 18 266 (W) 1669 clear none 21:00 52 6 6 280 (W) 1634 clear none 22:00 52 6 11 257 (WSW) 1645 clear none 23:00 52 6 17 267 (W) 1683 clear none 00:00 51 6 18 262 (W) 1697 clear none 01:00 50 7 23 259 (W) 1850 clear none 02:00 49 7 20 258 (WSW) 1953 clear none 03:00 48 8 26 255 (WSW) 2064 clear none 04:00 48 8 19 262 (W) 2121 clear none 05:00 47 9 16 266 (W) 2035 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
