Heavy smoke smell in the air at sunset. Dissipated over the next hour or so with a shift in wind direction. Moderate seeing. After operating fine for 4-5 slews the agile rotator pin managed to slip back into place causing a rotator Motion Error. I pulled it out again and tried to fasten it more securely. At 3:00 we discovered turning on the truss lamps from TUI did not actually turn them on, although there were no errors. I could not log into the lampswitch web page. Called Fritz. He sent commands through the hub directly and the lamps still did not turn on. He then restarted the lamps daemon. That worked. I've updated the wiki pages to include his troubleshooting solution. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UC08 D T/S 03:00 03:25 truss lamps not working ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:33 AGILE 200(-2151) 60 48 -1.2 1.5 0.4 -0.0 0.1 B 1.48 01:21 dis-slit 215(-359) -30 78 -1.4 -3.5 -2.6 -4.2 -3.1 1.35 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 43 2 6 240 (WSW) 619 clear none 17:00 39 0 16 323 (NW) 709 clear none 18:00 38 -1 9 318 (NW) 950 clear none 19:00 36 -1 5 350 (N) 793 clear none 20:00 31 3 11 82 (E) 800 clear none 21:00 29 8 14 76 (ENE) 519 clear none 22:00 28 11 18 77 (ENE) 727 clear none 23:00 27 11 14 90 (E) 1247 clear none 00:00 26 10 12 74 (ENE) 1513 clear none 01:00 27 8 6 81 (E) 1719 clear none 02:00 31 1 7 259 (W) 1165 clear none 03:00 30 2 6 241 (WSW) 1128 clear none 04:00 30 2 7 215 (SW) 1017 clear none 05:00 30 2 5 193 (SSW) 851 clear none 06:00 30 1 7 187 (S) 706 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
