The telescope and instruments behaved well, for the most part. The DIS slitviewer shutter was a little sticky during the first focus despite having been exercised previously, but it worked well during observing. Tracking was noticeably better with APOLLO than during recent runs, and we were able to get data from the moon despite high airmass and some thin clouds. During second half, there was a period of heavier clouds when the observers obtained no data, but for the most part they were able to find backup targets bright enough to observe. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:13 dis-slit 264( -75) 120 56 0.4 1.0 0.7 0.2 0.5 1.30 01:12 APOLLO 100( 487) 11 45 0.1 -0.7 -0.3 -1.2 -0.6 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 33 5 20 273 (W) 954 ptly cldy none 17:00 35 5 22 294 (WNW) 1036 ptly cldy none 18:00 36 5 17 286 (WNW) 1077 ptly cldy none 19:00 34 5 20 293 (WNW) 1141 ptly cldy none 20:00 33 3 13 305 (NW) 1295 ptly cldy none 21:00 32 3 9 269 (W) 1303 ptly cldy none 22:00 31 4 13 234 (SW) 1246 mstly clr none 23:00 32 6 7 261 (W) 1364 mstly clr none 00:00 31 7 5 265 (W) 1430 mstly clr none 01:00 32 8 10 234 (SW) 1555 ptly cldy none 02:00 33 6 13 223 (SW) 1569 ptly cldy none 03:00 34 7 18 242 (WSW) 2199 mstly cldy none 04:00 36 11 15 264 (W) 2818 mstly cldy none 05:00 34 13 13 266 (W) 2503 ptly cldy none 06:00 35 14 16 278 (W) 2572 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
