Huehnerhoff A night of trouble for agile. First the good; the new rotator cotter pin worked great, as did the agile on chip guiding guiding. However, just after sky flats at 20:00MT the agile ICC died. Wiki instructions allowed for a quick recovery. The big problem occurred at 20:43MT, the rotator errored with "motion error to large". After checking it out, making sure it wasn't binding, trying to move again (with the same error), Fritz was able to help identify the problem. The amplifier for the rotator had gotten into a weird state and needed to be power cycled. Seeing during most of the first have was sub arcsecond. Increasing clouds during second half with more variable seeing (although mostly arcsecond or less). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW02 P T/H 20:43 21:10 Agile rotator amplifier error ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:15 AGILE 105(-1809) 61 47 8.4 10.5 9.4 9.1 9.4 MSSSO B 1.10 01:11 dis-slit 120( 130) 74 70 7.0 8.3 8.6 8.0 8.2 clear 1.15 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 12 23 262 (W) 1217 clear none 17:00 54 14 18 258 (WSW) 1000 clear none 18:00 53 16 18 266 (W) 1077 clear none 19:00 51 14 17 253 (WSW) 1024 clear none 20:00 47 14 11 262 (W) 956 clear none 21:00 46 13 10 263 (W) 950 clear none 22:00 48 12 4 253 (WSW) 1108 clear none 23:00 47 8 7 265 (W) 1166 clear none 00:00 47 8 5 266 (W) 1131 clear none 01:00 48 9 8 246 (WSW) 996 mstly clr none 02:00 47 9 10 282 (WNW) 1219 mstly cldy none 03:00 47 6 8 337 (NNW) 1186 clear none 04:00 47 6 8 326 (NW) 1100 ptly cldy none 05:00 47 6 12 315 (NW) 1108 ptly cldy none 06:00 47 5 5 301 (WNW) 1201 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
