Huehnerhoff Start the night with wind gusts of 70mph and lots of dust. Switched to generator power around 1700MT due to unreliable utility power, shortly after we lost utility completely. Dust didn't drop to acceptable levels till 0230MT but wind is still above closure limit. Winds died down around 0400MT but a relatively high humidity and a high dust count kept us closed. Opened when dust and humidity decreased. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 04:53 TSPEC 661( 475) 230 37 -4.9 -2.5 -0.2 -3.8 -3.9 clear 1.64 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 48 4 56 266 (W) 18841 clear dust 17:00 45 2 52 266 (W) 35120 clear dust 18:00 40 2 36 274 (W) 34947 clear dust 19:00 37 2 40 282 (WNW) 35907 clear dust 20:00 35 5 40 276 (W) 29669 clear dust 21:00 32 9 25 275 (W) 9877 clear dust 22:00 30 12 23 262 (W) 5768 clear dust 23:00 29 13 24 273 (W) 8647 clear dust 00:00 28 14 31 289 (WNW) 19024 clear dust 01:00 28 16 26 300 (WNW) 4507 clear dust 02:00 27 17 20 293 (WNW) 4593 clear dust 03:00 26 18 26 317 (NW) 2863 mstly clr none 04:00 24 15 24 326 (NW) 3020 clear none 05:00 23 15 17 0 (N) 2374 clear none 06:00 23 14 12 329 (NNW) 1200 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
