Huehnerhoff Problems at beginning of night. Magna sensor errors prevented proper tracking which lead to wandering and blurring of stars. Fritz was able to correct this although there are still some strange readings coming from the magna sensors. Generally good seeing with some periods of high humidity and cloud cover. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JH05 S T/H 18:30 19:28 Not tracking properly. Altitude off, magnasensor error would not correct. JH05 S T/H 19:50 20:30 Star wandering too much to guide. Possibly more trouble with magnasensors. ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:33 SPICAM 159( 6) 234 61 -1.3 -0.1 -0.4 -1.1 -0.8 r' 1.20 19:36 NA2gdr 10(30010) 234 61 -1.0 -0.2 -0.5 -1.1 -0.8 clear 1.19 22:24 dis-slit 240( -173) 293 45 -0.6 -0.7 -0.4 -0.9 -0.5 clear 1.31 00:24 SPICAM 125( -85) 131 72 -0.3 -1.2 -0.8 -1.7 -1.2 Sulfur II 0.90 02:43 dis-slit 190( -283) -133 74 -1.0 -1.4 -1.1 -1.9 -1.2 clear 1.19 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 32 23 3 259 (W) 340 ptly cldy none 17:00 33 20 7 279 (W) 292 ptly cldy none 18:00 30 22 7 303 (WNW) 339 ptly cldy none 19:00 30 20 9 264 (W) 421 mstly clr none 20:00 30 25 11 266 (W) 558 ptly cldy humid 21:00 31 23 12 276 (W) 546 ptly cldy none 22:00 31 23 11 266 (W) 403 ptly cldy none 23:00 31 20 12 265 (W) 326 ptly cldy none 00:00 31 21 13 305 (NW) 302 ptly cldy none 01:00 31 22 14 295 (WNW) 337 mstly clr none 02:00 30 21 19 309 (NW) 346 mstly clr none 03:00 30 15 19 302 (WNW) 271 mstly clr none 04:00 30 2 15 318 (NW) 207 mstly clr none 05:00 29 4 19 309 (NW) 209 mstly clr none 06:00 29 2 17 289 (WNW) 192 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
