Need I say more? I notified the observers in the afternoon we would be closed do to the snow and not bother logging in at all. I shoveled the path from the main building to the lower dorm (French helped too) and about wore myself but at least we don't have to wade thru 14 inch drifts to go to sleep. We had some power brown outs during the afternoon/early evening. This seemed to kill the drives and the snow program. I gave up at around 01:00 as shoveling snow exhausted me pretty well and I wasn't feeling well. Telescope parked due south. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 27 27 19 154 (SSE) 90 cloudy snow 17:00 27 27 23 190 (S) 1610 cloudy snow 18:00 27 27 12 198 (SSW) 2601 cloudy snow 19:00 27 27 15 203 (SSW) 1706 cloudy snow 20:00 27 27 16 218 (SW) 254 cloudy snow 21:00 27 27 17 212 (SSW) 306 cloudy snow 22:00 27 26 20 206 (SSW) 336 cloudy snow 23:00 27 26 18 205 (SSW) 370 cloudy snow 00:00 28 26 14 215 (SW) 148 cloudy snow 01:00 28 26 19 217 (SW) 253 cloudy snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
