The bad news: a couple of inches of snow, plus consistently high humidity and less-extreme high winds, meant that there was no chance of opening. I ran the snow program all night to help the wind clear the dome, but I turned off the roof heaters since the temperatures were too cold for them to work effectively. Guy and I took some linearity data for the tcam slitviewer to try to evaluate its usability for imaging. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 22 22 34 260 (W) 203 cloudy lt snow 17:00 21 19 32 255 (WSW) 70 cloudy lt snow 18:00 19 17 23 275 (W) 101 cloudy lt snow 19:00 15 12 27 275 (W) 407 cloudy lt snow 20:00 14 11 27 267 (W) 1162 cloudy lt snow 21:00 12 7 45 274 (W) 702 cloudy lt snow 22:00 10 5 37 272 (W) 1740 cloudy humid 23:00 8 4 38 294 (WNW) 1056 cloudy humid 00:00 6 2 35 284 (WNW) 1308 cloudy humid 01:00 5 0 36 284 (WNW) 479 mstly cldy humid 02:00 4 0 27 266 (W) 334 mstly cldy humid 03:00 3 -1 31 293 (WNW) 339 mstly cldy humid 04:00 3 -2 30 281 (W) 489 ptly cldy humid 05:00 4 -3 23 316 (NW) 728 ptly cldy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
