During first half we closed for a while when thicker clouds and higher winds coincided; during second half the observer was able to face away from the wind so we stayed open, but some of the time the clouds made science impossible. During a cloudy patch I tried testing a new version of the pointing correction script, but it hung up early on. Later I figured out the fix for that problem but it was not a good time to stop science for testing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:21 ECHELLE 219(-1318) -87 72 4.1 4.3 4.3 4.2 4.1 ND3 1.40 23:31 TSPEC 115( -249) 203 78 3.4 2.8 3.2 2.8 2.9 Ks 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 42 33 21 263 (W) 188 mstly cldy none 17:00 40 32 19 279 (W) 212 ptly cldy none 18:00 39 33 20 263 (W) 244 ptly cldy none 19:00 38 32 26 274 (W) 161 ptly cldy none 20:00 38 31 22 268 (W) 189 ptly cldy none 21:00 38 27 23 275 (W) 113 ptly cldy none 22:00 38 27 25 278 (W) 225 ptly cldy none 23:00 37 30 30 282 (WNW) 154 mstly clr none 00:00 37 30 27 274 (W) 139 mstly clr none 01:00 37 31 27 272 (W) 341 mstly clr none 02:00 38 32 24 268 (W) 303 ptly cldy none 03:00 37 32 24 275 (W) 258 ptly cldy none 04:00 36 32 18 287 (WNW) 208 ptly cldy humid 05:00 37 30 21 280 (W) 141 ptly cldy none 06:00 37 26 27 297 (WNW) 137 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
