The DIS slitviewer shutter continued to have problems till around midnight when the temperature warmed to above 0C. Stable seeing first half allowed for the shutter problems to have a minimal impact on science. Trouble with an APOLLO power supply caused reallocation of time. Scheduled time above not changed but OBS time above that was not used by APOLLO added to PU08 (which continued to observe). User taking cals till 0800MT. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:33 dis-slit 525( -389) 228 60 -2.3 -2.4 -2.7 -2.5 -2.3 -- 1.51 18:45 dis-slit 400( -521) 0 52 -2.8 -2.8 -2.8 -3.0 -2.9 -- 1.10 19:01 NA2gdr 5997(27997) -14 71 -2.9 -2.9 -2.8 -3.1 -3.0 clear 1.11 21:20 dis-slit 300( -623) 10 48 -1.6 -2.9 -2.3 -2.8 -2.2 -- 1.76 03:50 SPICAM 200( -252) 125 75 3.1 2.0 2.7 1.7 2.5 SDSS i' 1.34 05:42 APOLLO 75( 196) 53 63 3.5 2.4 2.8 2.1 2.6 -- 1.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 27 -12 8 19 (NNE) 195 clear none 17:00 27 -20 21 19 (NNE) 275 clear none 18:00 28 -15 23 8 (N) 238 clear none 19:00 27 -14 30 10 (N) 226 clear none 20:00 27 -5 26 19 (NNE) 255 clear none 21:00 29 -8 11 1 (N) 218 clear none 22:00 33 2 24 28 (NNE) 212 clear none 23:00 34 7 20 31 (NNE) 123 clear none 00:00 35 8 19 22 (NNE) 87 clear none 01:00 37 8 12 27 (NNE) 34 clear none 02:00 35 9 14 16 (NNE) 35 clear none 03:00 37 8 6 354 (N) 98 clear none 04:00 37 7 13 357 (N) 37 clear none 05:00 38 6 7 345 (NNW) 19 clear none 06:00 37 8 14 4 (N) 8 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
