Multiple problems starting at 1130MT. Hard drive space filled up and TSPEC stopped taking images. The message from tspec was not clear it could not write to the disk, so I thought it was an ICC problem. Following the instructions on the wiki where it said to power the leach controller. This led to a constant value in the slitviewer and an image not being displayed. The wiki instructions did not help get the slitviewer running. Fritz was able to fix using a different by turning the arrayPower off, power cycling leach, arrayPower on, restart ICC software. Shortly after tspec had trouble I took a test exposure on the echelon. This message was clear that there was no disk space and upon talking to Fritz old files where deleted from the disk. The echelle ICC then stopped responding requiring a restart, as well as multiple failures of the echelle slitviewer. These where resolved an the echelle was usable. For the night schedule times I did not put the whole DD02 hour as equip because the time was supposed to be split between echelle and tspec and the echelle was usable for half the time. Both ECHELLE and TSPEC are now working. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW11/DD02 TSPEC I/S 00:35 01:30 tcam unresponsive, bad pixel value UV05 TSPEC I/S 02:00 02:30 tcam unresponsive, bad pixel value ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:50 TSPEC 175( 866) 268 52 5.6 8.7 6.9 7.1 7.2 -- 0.97 01:48 ECHELLE 50( -678) 56 58 5.9 5.4 5.7 4.8 5.2 -- 1.05 02:39 TSPEC 28( 555) 191 63 6.3 5.6 6.1 5.1 5.7 -- 1.01 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 51 26 9 230 (SW) 526 clear none 17:00 51 26 7 198 (SSW) 501 clear none 18:00 46 25 1 243 (WSW) 543 clear none 19:00 42 25 8 88 (E) 707 clear none 20:00 43 26 5 183 (S) 606 clear none 21:00 44 26 9 181 (S) 615 clear none 22:00 44 27 13 178 (S) 703 clear none 23:00 44 28 13 182 (S) 659 clear none 00:00 43 26 13 186 (S) 692 clear none 01:00 43 24 12 186 (S) 733 clear none 02:00 43 25 10 185 (S) 652 clear none 03:00 44 26 10 188 (S) 765 clear none 04:00 44 27 10 186 (S) 739 clear none 05:00 45 28 7 189 (S) 718 clear none 06:00 44 29 11 202 (SSW) 836 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
