Again had problem with DIS slit viewer control click. This time the mouse did not show the control click symbol. At 0121MT there was a motion error on alt. This was at an az/alt of 237.5/28.5. I checked alt drive for moths but could not find any sign of moths. Multiple slews up and down where fine but there was drive slippage. Makes me think the drive ran over a moth and slipped until moth debris spread and drive could regain traction. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:03 dis-slit 337( 617) 201 80 7.4 10.9 8.9 9.9 9.2 clear 1.56 20:16 dis-slit 213( 367) 236 69 7.1 8.3 7.8 7.5 7.6 clear 1.17 01:04 dis-slit 69( 264) 239 31 8.5 8.1 8.3 7.4 8.0 clear 1.40 02:21 dis-slit 81( 211) 269 57 8.2 7.6 7.8 6.6 7.4 clear 1.27 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 47 36 5 96 (E) 598 mstly cldy none 17:00 50 37 1 210 (SSW) 932 mstly cldy none 18:00 52 38 9 279 (W) 972 mstly cldy none 19:00 45 39 17 65 (ENE) 637 mstly clr none 20:00 45 38 14 78 (ENE) 995 clear humid 21:00 46 37 10 74 (ENE) 1162 clear none 22:00 47 36 7 90 (E) 1057 clear none 23:00 48 31 7 88 (E) 822 clear none 00:00 49 23 2 125 (SE) 479 clear none 01:00 47 32 2 231 (SW) 846 clear none 02:00 46 35 2 258 (WSW) 982 clear none 03:00 46 37 5 269 (W) 992 clear none 04:00 45 35 6 193 (SSW) 940 clear none 05:00 45 34 5 189 (S) 775 clear none 06:00 43 36 3 187 (S) 897 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
