The observer was sub-framing (don't know if that really matters), when I took a full frame exposure it cleared up on its own. We didn't have any other problems the rest of the night, even sub-framed. Sorry I didn't record what the slit frames were, but it was visually obvious. It happened at 04:17UT from the message log so finding the correct slit images should be pretty easy. Since the first program ended a few mins ahead of schedule, I gave the GFP folks a few minutes to install some filters in the GFP so they could do further checkout during the 2nd half tonight. DIS blue ion pump running a bit high when I closed in the morning. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:04 dis-slit 237( -97) -36 46 -1.8 0.9 -0.7 -0.6 -0.4 -- 1.14 18:17 NA2gdr 3615(25615) -40 44 -1.8 0.6 -1.0 -1.7 -0.7 -- 0.82 19:35 dis-slit 157( -284) -8 56 -2.1 -1.0 -1.7 -3.2 -1.7 -- 1.00 21:21 dis-slit 206( -248) 8 46 -1.3 -1.5 -1.3 -2.2 -1.4 -- 1.40 00:04 TSPEC 180( 60) -143 61 -0.1 -0.5 -0.1 -0.6 -0.3 Ks 0.72 05:00 ECHELLE -29(-1179) -21 83 0.5 -0.9 -0.2 -1.2 -0.4 clear 0.72 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 33 20 1 223 (SW) 300 clear none 17:00 30 10 2 229 (SW) 223 clear none 18:00 29 3 6 288 (WNW) 112 clear none 19:00 29 6 7 284 (WNW) 123 clear none 20:00 30 3 7 293 (WNW) 76 clear none 21:00 30 -2 10 357 (N) 111 clear none 22:00 32 -4 12 357 (N) 83 clear none 23:00 31 2 8 359 (N) 203 clear none 00:00 32 8 10 4 (N) 138 clear none 01:00 30 8 6 1 (N) 126 clear none 02:00 30 10 6 0 (N) 60 clear none 03:00 31 9 7 359 (N) 62 clear none 04:00 31 8 7 3 (N) 78 mstly clr none 05:00 33 7 10 7 (N) 59 mstly clr none 06:00 32 8 11 22 (NNE) 80 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
