Russet looked at the model and said she liked it but not much change from the currently implemented one (so I did not implement it). Separate email with model was sent distributed. I then started the tracking tests (E, S, N, and W) South_long (alt up, Az left) North_long (alt down, Az right) I might have had the wrong RA for the North tracking tests. At 30 mins into the run I noticed we were already past transit by 10 degrees which didn't seem right and it was already. I aborted the run at frame 41 and restarted (this time I went LST +15 mins since I was running out of time). 2nd run is called north2. I will let this one run about 15 mins or so thru transit (about 30 mins data instead of 90). I aborted at frame 49 due to twilight. I ran out of time to get the west tracking test done. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 22:32 GUIDER 49( 524) 64 66 11.1 12.7 12.2 11.4 11.8 R 1.07 00:30 SPICAM 50( 451) 101 60 10.3 11.1 11.2 10.1 10.6 V 0.87 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 61 37 11 115 (ESE) 1073 ptly cldy none 17:00 60 37 11 78 (ENE) 1085 ptly cldy none 18:00 60 37 11 91 (E) 1170 ptly cldy none 19:00 58 40 12 90 (E) 1337 ptly cldy none 20:00 55 41 20 74 (ENE) 1485 mstly clr none 21:00 54 43 19 75 (ENE) 1667 ptly cldy none 22:00 53 43 7 84 (E) 1839 ptly cldy none 23:00 52 43 1 210 (SSW) 1800 ptly cldy none 00:00 53 43 1 242 (WSW) 1742 ptly cldy none 01:00 51 44 1 184 (S) 1923 ptly cldy none 02:00 52 43 20 61 (ENE) 2305 ptly cldy none 03:00 52 43 22 51 (NE) 1937 ptly cldy none 04:00 51 43 17 65 (ENE) 1673 mstly clr none 05:00 50 43 19 55 (NE) 1895 mstly clr none 06:00 51 39 17 69 (ENE) 1545 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
