Saurage, J.Huehnerhoff Cloudy and rainy most of the night but cleared up. Opened at 09:30 UT. At 09:55:49 UT there was an altitude controller error while tracking. Logged into talk2boxes and status gave no response. Had to call Fritz and he had us power cycle the controller. Although open, seeing was poor (>2 arcsec) and variable. Apollo was having trouble with power and could not get on sky. While closing there was two servo errors on two slews in azimuth at 12:20 UT. After axis initialization the telescope was slewed to park and both azimuth and altitude were off by 15 degrees. In altitude the upper hard limit was hit. Russet is submitting an problem report. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW07 DIS T/H 03:55 04:30 Alt Contoller Error ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 56 45 7 231 (SW) 866 cloudy none 17:00 52 49 1 238 (WSW) 1259 cloudy none 18:00 53 48 2 236 (SW) 919 cloudy none 19:00 53 42 9 57 (ENE) 1298 cloudy none 20:00 53 38 8 84 (E) 1318 cloudy none 21:00 51 39 12 58 (ENE) 1164 cloudy none 22:00 52 41 11 65 (ENE) 1067 cloudy none 23:00 45 43 33 63 (ENE) 1148 cloudy rain 00:00 49 40 16 64 (ENE) 951 cloudy rain 01:00 52 35 15 72 (ENE) 699 cloudy none 02:00 52 38 5 275 (W) 1084 ptly cldy none 03:00 51 39 5 90 (E) 1256 mstly clr none 04:00 50 40 8 89 (E) 1061 mstly clr humid 05:00 48 42 13 72 (ENE) 1578 mstly clr humid 06:00 47 41 13 80 (E) 1536 mstly clr humid TELESCOPE STATUS Telescope drives operational.
