I obtained a pointing model, re-checked collimation (and also updated the Shack-Hartmann instrument block), and did some tracking tests with both Shack-Hartmann and SPIcam. Pointing accuracy is pretty comparable to what it was before the drive replacement; tracking still needs some work but it's getting close. Collimation is excellent after Bill's adjustments last week. I encountered some minor problems including a short power outage which upset a few pieces of equipment and a couple of servo errors that temporarily stopped azimuth tracking (cause is being hunted by daystaff). ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 69 45 8 230 (SW) 1063 mstly cldy none 17:00 64 42 9 194 (SSW) 1046 mstly cldy none 18:00 66 44 5 209 (SSW) 1062 ptly cldy none 19:00 62 42 9 187 (S) 1048 ptly cldy none 20:00 59 41 13 149 (SSE) 1052 ptly cldy none 21:00 58 39 15 154 (SSE) 1025 ptly cldy none 22:00 58 39 17 146 (SE) 993 mstly clr none 23:00 57 36 3 143 (SE) 1020 mstly clr none 00:00 56 35 14 123 (ESE) 1012 ptly cldy none 01:00 55 37 16 133 (SE) 998 ptly cldy none 02:00 55 38 13 141 (SE) 985 ptly cldy none 03:00 54 38 11 182 (S) 950 mstly clr none 04:00 54 39 6 186 (S) 834 mstly clr none 05:00 54 39 4 219 (SW) 828 mstly clr none 06:00 54 38 2 306 (NW) 863 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
