When it was cloudy we investigated some issues with some DIS spectra getting partially cut off at different rotator angles. This has happened on previous runs with this program. It seems to be worse with slit wheel A which was a special set up for first half. So far it also seems to be centered around -35 degrees mount. Detailed email sent out to appropriate parties. I switched back to the standard slit wheel for second half and saw a few examples of the same cutting off but at different rotator angles (at -1 and -2 degrees), but I would like to test this further before drawing a conclusion. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:04 dis-slit 323( 980) 200 64 19.9 21.5 20.2 20.2 20.2 1.41 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 68 48 1 231 (SW) 1641 ptly cldy none 17:00 67 48 8 62 (ENE) 1913 ptly cldy none 18:00 75 48 9 245 (WSW) 1519 ptly cldy none 19:00 73 45 9 245 (WSW) 1210 ptly cldy none 20:00 67 44 5 257 (WSW) 1079 ptly cldy none 21:00 68 42 5 256 (WSW) 1078 ptly cldy none 22:00 67 44 8 183 (S) 1293 ptly cldy none 23:00 67 43 13 182 (S) 1663 ptly cldy none 00:00 65 42 13 168 (SSE) 1631 ptly cldy none 01:00 63 41 10 138 (SE) 2510 ptly cldy none 02:00 64 40 9 184 (S) 2329 mstly clr none 03:00 63 40 6 148 (SSE) 2452 mstly clr none 04:00 63 39 1 217 (SW) 2304 mstly clr none 05:00 60 41 14 74 (ENE) 2099 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
