Seeing was moderate to poor. The last hour we stayed open and pushed the dewpoint depression a bit since I found no evidence of condensation on two trips to the dome and windows on vehicles. Right after we closed for morning cals the skies became opaque and the humidity spiked to over 90%. This morning we noted that the top bright quartz lamp had burnt out. A PR was filed. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:56 dis-slit 140( 643) 55 73 14.3 18.5 16.7 17.8 18.3 --- 1.65 21:04 NA2gdr -898(21101) 50 74 14.2 18.2 16.4 17.3 16.6 R+nd2 1.64 01:19 dis-slit 259( 592) 219 50 14.8 14.7 14.8 14.1 14.5 --- 1.93 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 62 54 10 259 (W) 547 ptly cldy none 17:00 62 53 3 296 (WNW) 524 ptly cldy none 18:00 64 55 6 191 (S) 541 ptly cldy none 19:00 63 53 1 240 (WSW) 460 ptly cldy none 20:00 60 50 7 143 (SE) 480 mstly clr none 21:00 58 50 9 54 (NE) 612 mstly clr none 22:00 58 50 5 343 (NNW) 619 mstly clr none 23:00 59 48 5 350 (N) 656 mstly clr none 00:00 59 48 9 336 (NNW) 597 mstly clr none 01:00 59 48 6 342 (NNW) 573 mstly cldy none 02:00 57 50 7 295 (WNW) 722 ptly cldy none 03:00 56 50 4 264 (W) 767 mstly clr none 04:00 54 50 5 242 (WSW) 987 clear none 05:00 55 51 5 247 (WSW) 1186 clear humid 06:00 54 51 8 199 (SSW) 2189 cloudy humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
