I did some closed-dome tests of tracking with dither scripts in possible trouble spots, which looked good. During second half, the precipitation finally dissipated and we were able to get on sky. Seeing was quite bad at the time of focus but eventually came down to about 1.5 arcsec, which wasn't too bad considering the unsettled weather. Everything worked well while we were open. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:39 dis-slit 161( 651) 234 50 16.9 17.9 17.9 16.7 16.9 2.40 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 77 46 4 219 (SW) 2587 ptly cldy none 17:00 74 43 8 252 (WSW) 2362 ptly cldy none 18:00 73 45 12 224 (SW) 2591 ptly cldy none 19:00 73 46 11 258 (WSW) 2739 ptly cldy none 20:00 66 43 10 267 (W) 2803 mstly clr none 21:00 59 43 8 357 (N) 3335 cloudy lt rain 22:00 62 41 16 24 (NNE) 2070 cloudy none 23:00 65 38 10 13 (NNE) 2332 cloudy none 00:00 66 32 5 10 (N) 1094 cloudy none 01:00 61 39 5 203 (SSW) 1701 mstly cldy none 02:00 62 38 2 208 (SSW) 1682 ptly cldy none 03:00 62 38 9 234 (SW) 1865 ptly cldy none 04:00 61 39 7 266 (W) 1785 mstly clr none 05:00 60 40 6 265 (W) 2092 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
