Sent a detailed email concerning the tests to appropriate staff. The essential outcome is that the way to eliminate the stray light regardless of light source is to cover up, 'black out', the TR2 petal. 21:30 Switching between ports. The first move from NA2 to NA1 was fine but then setting inst=ech gave this error: UT 03:39:24 .tcc.0 0 tcc F Modu="mir_o_MoveOneGalil"; Text="Tert returned an error message" (like last night) Tert would not seem to catch up. For example, the tert values for piston act (-2000) versus des (-500) were not changing. I waited for quite some time, then I switched the tert back to NA2 and set inst to spicam. Then it moved to the echelle tert position and gave the above error message again. I continued testing this moving the tert and setting new insts many times. After these first few times it would not give an error but after setting inst it took 2-3 minutes for the tertiary to move act to des positions. The length of time might be expected and maybe normal, but the errors certainly are not. I submitted PR#1015. 23:15 Blind tracking (no guiding) test on Echelle slitviewer. I took images with the echelle slitviewer while tracking, not guiding, a star at a high altitude through transit. UT 07:22:32 PR#1015 again. 01:20 - 04:20 Tert Piston Test at NA2. Sent data to Bill. Set back to -2000 at the end. 04:25 Investigate tert moves after the set inst with Russet.
