Not sure if anybody had done it in a while (nothing was in the fill log) and Bill requested a fill last Friday. We had a system off to our west during twilight that moved off to our southwest. Around 23:00 we had an approaching system from our northeast. At 00:30 I decided that the system was close enough to be a potential threat. While moving the telescope to park it, the humidity shot over the limit and winds picked up. The winds picked up during the 2nd half as the system slowly moved by us. Wind and humidity kept us closed. We also were completely overcast for a good portion of the 2nd half. We threw in the towel at 04:35. ------------- ACTIVITY LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:35 NICFPS 145( 1124) 94 39 13.9 15.2 14.7 14.1 14.0 Ks 0.62 22:31 NICFPS 80( 1020) 39 34 13.7 14.2 14.2 13.3 13.7 H 0.70 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:00 63 48 6 87 (E) 446 ptly cldy none 19:00 63 47 1 96 (E) 516 ptly cldy none 20:00 59 48 10 87 (E) 544 ptly cldy none 21:00 57 47 12 85 (E) 610 ptly cldy none 22:00 57 46 10 85 (E) 621 ptly cldy none 23:00 56 47 13 63 (ENE) 747 ptly cldy none 00:00 55 48 10 55 (NE) 845 ptly cldy humid 01:00 49 47 29 72 (ENE) 360 ptly cldy humid 02:00 49 46 30 69 (ENE) 550 mstly cldy lt rain 03:00 53 39 20 70 (ENE) 337 cloudy none 04:00 56 39 23 67 (ENE) 159 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
