Coughlin LN2 tanks on GFP and TSPEC ran out - only one replacement was available. Brought the only tank on the ground level up, but then realized it was for the 1m so put it back down. Need more LN2, especially for weekend. Around 19:00 it was noticed the DIS blue temperature was high - got up to -3.0C. Ion pump was on high load and so I turned it off. Tried turning off the blue cyrotiger, letting is sit for 30 min, and restarted. Temp started to come back down, but extremely slowly. Tried power cycling again with same result. After 6 hours or so its only around -15C. I've left the blue cryo tiger on, but turned off the ion pump and blue camera power supply. See PR #1004. Sky was very opaque from sunset until 02:20. No nearby radar returns or chance of rain though so tried opening a few times to see if anything was getting through, but first half observers were not able to see anything. Same with first half until 02:20 when a hole opened up - clouds came and went but got useful data until sunrise, as conditions continued to improve. Didn't get a chance to take more pinhole images with Agile, but installed pinole 'filter' in filter wheel 3 and will test on both Spicam and Agile tomorrow afternoon to compare. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- 02:38 NICFPS 125( 927) 1 59 10.8 12.1 12.2 11.3 11.0 Ks 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 58 39 6 261 (W) 1504 cloudy none 17:00 61 40 7 229 (SW) 3214 cloudy none 18:00 59 39 6 276 (W) 1512 cloudy none 19:00 57 26 3 255 (WSW) 1354 cloudy none 20:00 57 31 5 184 (S) 1175 cloudy none 21:00 55 31 5 179 (S) 1351 cloudy none 22:00 52 31 4 144 (SE) 1685 cloudy none 23:00 53 31 11 216 (SW) 1675 cloudy none 00:00 53 31 10 181 (S) 1701 cloudy none 01:00 53 31 6 184 (S) 1874 cloudy none 02:00 52 31 6 196 (SSW) 1437 mstly cldy none 03:00 51 43 2 201 (SSW) 1034 ptly cldy none 04:00 52 43 2 248 (WSW) 1312 mstly clr none 05:00 51 43 6 267 (W) 1418 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
