Nick wanted time noted 20:06MST drive slip again on Az We had cirrus clouds at the start of the night which made getting a good exposure for e.Aurigae difficult. I started with 23s, bumped it to 40s, then 60s and was still only getting about 20K counts. I bumped it to 90s and started the sequence (first exp looked excellent with 30k cts) then the clouds thinned and the object grew brighter and brighter. Not sure if we got much useful data since the sky was pretty varible and it ate up a lot of time adjusting exposures. Didn't get Tspec images since I ran out of program time. 06:15MST when shutting the telescope down, as it came to a halt at it's park position the Dataq had some bad squiggles as it stopped. ------------- ACTIVITY LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:09 ECHELLE -206( -813) 239 52 7.6 9.8 8.6 8.8 7.8 ND3 0.98 21:12 TSPEC 0( 316) 111 45 7.4 8.0 7.7 7.1 7.2 Ks 0.81 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 56 16 9 276 (W) 1124 clear none 17:00 53 14 17 295 (WNW) 1057 cirrus none 18:00 51 13 13 297 (WNW) 1002 cirrus none 19:00 46 12 11 270 (W) 1151 cirrus none 20:00 45 13 13 243 (WSW) 1323 cirrus none 21:00 46 14 14 244 (WSW) 1519 Cirrus none 22:00 46 15 14 241 (WSW) 1449 cirrus none 00:00 46 15 10 262 (W) 1329 cirrus none 01:00 47 15 12 272 (W) 1211 cldy none 02:00 47 14 14 269 (W) 1136 cldy none 03:00 47 14 11 267 (W) 1175 cldy none 04:00 45 16 10 229 (SW) 1289 cldy none 05:00 46 15 15 266 (W) 1242 cirrus none 06:00 47 17 25 267 (W) 872 cirrus none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
