The stars seemed to be tracking away too fast for a sweep to complete. We were pointed near Az 165, Alt 64, Rot 27 during this process. I had to focus manually while guiding to get consistent image quality data. I'm not completely convinced this was a software problem as I did not have this problem before. Maybe tracking? Other than that, clear all night with moderate to good seeing (subarc with SPICAM, using the Autofocus script all second half). Weather status stopped reporting wind data after 04:00. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:24 dis-slit 165(186) 141 67 4.9 8.6 6.8 7.6 5.5 1.58 21:20 dis-slit 85(-16) 168 65 4.2 6.0 5.4 4.8 4.4 1.43 01:22 SPICAM 111(158) 111 67 5.2 4.0 4.6 3.0 4.3 SDSS g 0.84 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 49 20 8 316 (NW) 436 clear none 17:00 48 19 14 302 (WNW) 368 clear none 18:00 48 22 7 275 (W) 304 clear none 19:00 47 21 9 259 (W) 340 clear none 20:00 42 25 8 50 (NE) 305 clear none 21:00 40 25 11 82 (E) 256 clear none 22:00 39 24 16 78 (ENE) 274 clear none 23:00 38 24 14 81 (E) 298 clear none 00:00 40 22 8 39 (NE) 320 clear none 01:00 41 22 1 333 (NNW) 344 clear none 02:00 41 22 6 344 (NNW) 313 clear none 03:00 41 22 6 306 (NW) 298 clear none 04:00 40 22 2 243 (WSW) 315 clear none 05:00 39 23 ?? 320 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
