By 02:45 skies were completely cloudy. We stayed open hoping for a break in the clouds that never came. At 05:00 I saw some radar returns approaching the broders of Otero County. I closed up the dome about 10 minutes before light snow flurries were reported by the Sloan Observers. No other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:10 dis-slit 39( 43) 47 75 6.3 8.3 7.7 7.3 6.7 --- 1.20 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 50 18 26 250 (WSW) clear none 17:00 53 17 26 221 (SW) clear none 18:00 50 13 33 237 (WSW) clear none 19:00 47 15 32 228 (SW) clear none 20:00 44 14 22 227 (SW) ptly cldy none 21:00 43 18 13 240 (WSW) ptly cldy none 22:00 40 20 19 238 (WSW) ptly cldy none 23:00 40 23 17 250 (WSW) ptly cldy none 00:00 39 24 21 239 (WSW) ptly cldy none 01:00 37 26 18 228 (SW) ptly cldy none 02:00 36 27 25 229 (SW) ptly cldy none 03:00 36 26 20 231 (SW) cloudy none 04:00 35 27 19 232 (SW) cloudy none 05:00 31 21 22 291 (WNW) cloudy lt snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
