We were able to open by 04:15. Seeing was quite poor exceeding two arcseconds. At the beginning of the night the weather server and the DHCP server crashed. It took several hours for Jon Brinkman to get them back up or to get an alternate server up (in the case of DHCP). This is why serveral hours of weather info is missing from the log below. No other problems. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 04:33 dis-slit -450(-1037) -19 79 -5.7 -3.8 -3.5 -5.0 -5.4 --- 2.21 05:42 dis-slit -100( -720) -44 51 -4.7 -4.8 -4.2 -5.3 -4.8 --- 2.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 37 1 40 269 (W) 2900 cloudy dust 20:00 37 9 28 268 (W) 9457 cloudy humid 21:00 26 24 16 333 (NNW) 2295 cloudy humid 22:00 25 12 15 357 (N) 5854 ptly cldy dust 23:00 25 6 11 7 (N) 5339 cloudy dust 00:00 26 4 32 325 (NW) 4296 cloudy dust 01:00 25 -6 9 359 (N) 2993 cloudy dust 02:00 23 -4 13 360 (N) 2745 ptly cldy dust 03:00 22 -2 27 28 (NNE) 2211 clear dust 04:00 22 -2 17 304 (NW) 1359 clear none 05:00 22 -3 27 19 (NNE) 921 clear none 06:00 24 -8 28 338 (NNW) 784 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
