On one of the early objects there was some question about pointing and a quick pointing check resulted in the following changes to tert tilts. NA2 Tertiary Tilts TertXtiltCoef was -131, measured change 55; changed to -76 TertYTiltCoef was 1026, measured change -112; changed to 915 Clouds moved in soon after sunset and the observer quickly exhausted all their bright targets. Near midnight I closed for elevated dust counts since the dome dust counter was removed as a second spare yesterday I could not measure how effective changing ventillation configuration would be. We never reopened. No other problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:56 dis-slit 123( -23) 28 78 3.8 5.2 4.3 4.2 3.9 --- 1.03 20:51 NA2gdr 2872(24872) -157 35 3.7 4.0 4.0 3.2 3.6 clear 1.30 20:55 NA2gdr 2777(24777) -117 67 3.5 3.9 3.9 3.2 3.5 clear 1.09 20:57 NA2gdr 2777(24777) -117 67 3.8 3.9 3.9 3.2 3.5 clear 0.82 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 45 3 20 249 (WSW) 1227 clear none 17:00 44 1 22 269 (W) 1447 clear none 18:00 45 1 33 256 (WSW) 1748 clear none 19:00 41 1 28 249 (WSW) 2118 clear none 20:00 39 1 22 256 (WSW) 2329 mstly clr none 21:00 39 3 23 267 (W) 2016 mstly cldy none 22:00 38 2 24 266 (W) 2027 cloudy none 23:00 37 4 19 254 (WSW) 2112 cloudy none 00:00 37 4 18 264 (W) 2629 cloudy none 01:00 36 3 12 251 (WSW) 3885 cloudy dust 02:00 36 1 15 267 (W) 4484 cloudy dust 03:00 34 1 16 261 (W) 5182 cloudy dust 04:00 33 2 16 261 (W) 3271 cloudy dust 05:00 32 3 11 282 (WNW) 2892 cloudy none 06:00 31 5 19 273 (W) 2468 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
