The echelle slitviewer initially looked like the filters were not moving (switching between clear and ND2 seemed to make no visual difference). I power cycled Slitty. I looked in the box and watched the filter wheel and the cal mirror move. TertPoint script was giving errors about the slew failing, which seems to be because it was trying to send rotator positions and tcc was rejecting them for Echelle. Setting rot 0 none fixed that. Did an echtilt measurement; it was far off in Y. echtilt corrections TertXTiltCoef TertYTiltCoef Was 1035 610 Changed to 1029 1255 00:05 After pointing correction and power cycle everything seemed to be working fine on Echelle. Then we switched to DIS. No issues with pointing at NA2. 01:04 switch back to Echelle. Pointing was off again, or maybe not corrected properly earlier. We now think TertPoint may not be working with Echelle. New echtilt corrections TertXTiltCoef TertYTiltCoef Changed to 1029 750 Second half was clear with high-ish humidity. When closing the mirror covers would not work in auto. Got this error: 12:34:04 APO.gabrelle 568 telmech f errtxt="(32, 'Broken pipe')" Restarted nubs, but didn't fix it. Put them in manual to close. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UC01 E T/S 23:05 00:05 Pointing and ecam trouble UW16 E T/S 01:15 01:35 Pointing and ecam trouble ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 36 22 7 265 (W) 120 cloudy none 17:00 36 25 8 265 (W) 74 cloudy none 18:00 34 20 11 232 (SW) 130 cloudy none 19:00 31 21 8 248 (WSW) 263 cloudy none 20:00 31 21 14 243 (WSW) 379 cloudy none 21:00 27 27 14 341 (NNW) 277 cloudy humid 22:00 30 21 17 238 (WSW) 458 mstly clr none 23:00 30 22 13 262 (W) 405 ptly cldy none 00:00 29 24 15 297 (WNW) 390 mstly clr none 01:00 29 22 17 292 (WNW) 429 mstly clr none 02:00 29 21 13 301 (WNW) 405 mstly clr none 03:00 28 22 10 303 (WNW) 438 mstly clr none 04:00 28 21 15 302 (WNW) 500 mstly clr none 05:00 27 21 11 308 (NW) 477 mstly clr none 06:00 27 22 7 294 (WNW) 449 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
