Elevated winds first half. Temperatures dropped and caused the dewpoint split to slowly decrease well into second half. We got rather close to the closure limit but we were able to stay open all night. Seeing was moderate to poor all night. No other problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (SEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:27 dis-slit 1( -282) 56 69 0.5 2.4 1.8 1.2 0.8 --- 1.86 20:43 dis-slit 101( -335) 55 69 -0.7 -0.7 -0.4 -1.1 -0.9 --- 1.34 02:45 SPICAM 0( -301) -73 47 -3.4 -3.5 -3.2 -3.6 -3.4 V 1.75 02:54 SPICAM 0( -303) -75 45 -3.6 -3.6 -3.3 -3.7 -3.6 R+ND2 1.65 02:54 NA2gdr -878(29121) -75 45 -3.6 -3.6 -3.4 -3.7 -3.7 R+ND2 1.65 05:36 SPICAM 115( -235) 154 34 -4.9 -4.9 -4.6 -5.4 -4.9 V 2.50 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 39 4 25 255 (WSW) 1442 mstly clr none 17:00 37 6 25 264 (W) 1005 clear none 18:00 33 10 15 256 (WSW) 2108 clear none 19:00 32 15 18 266 (W) 1892 clear none 20:00 31 16 29 269 (W) 1637 clear none 21:00 31 17 21 287 (WNW) 809 clear none 22:00 30 18 25 281 (W) 587 clear none 23:00 29 18 19 278 (W) 588 clear none 00:00 28 18 21 270 (W) 632 ptly cldy none 01:00 27 20 25 281 (W) 628 mstly cldy none 02:00 26 21 20 289 (WNW) 602 mstly clr none 03:00 25 20 19 268 (W) 603 ptly cldy none 04:00 24 20 16 288 (WNW) 603 mstly clr none 05:00 23 18 18 305 (NW) 675 ptly cldy none 06:00 23 17 11 315 (NW) 607 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
