SPIcam stest.0002 is an out of focus (+600 steps) image before collimation. Tip/Tilts at NA2 (@21:40 MDT) Start -194, 1164 Change -44, -19 Final no change Checked pointing between NA2 and BC1 (3x). Looked good. Russet updated the ip_bc1.dat file.s Checked pointing between NA2 and TR3 (3x). Looked good, updated ip_tr3.dat file. We managed to get a collimation check with the SH, Russet said it looked suprisingly good. Adjusted collimation slightly Comparison collimation spicam images are pointing_77_sigma_Leo.0021, before change, after change image pointing_77_sigma_Leo.0022 I restarted the AgileICC for Anjum and she took several thousand Agile exposures. I ran 3 focus sweeps with the SPIcam focus script and found no errors to report (PR777). I finally took a pointing model around 02:30AM which took a little longer fro the 80 point model due to clouds. I had one bad data point, which took me a while to figure out which point it was in the pterr file, but I eventually figured it out and removed it. Implemented new pointing model and emailed Mark, Nick, and the obs-specs the output files for their review. By 04:30, when I finished taking and implementing the pointing model we were pretty well clouded in. I gave up ato 05:00 due to clouds. I believe I got the main high priority engineering tasks accomplished tonight. The rest were low priority and clouds interfered with those. Slitty is not working, Fritz knows about this, so I was not able to check pointing at NA1. The other ports (other than NA2) were off a little and we adjusted appropriate their dat files. All other instruments checked out and appear to be working fine. ------------- ACTIVITY LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:42 GUIDER 141( 86) 84 68 0.1 1.9 0.8 0.6 0.4 ?? 0.84 00:21 SHACK -134( 246) 44 55 -0.2 -0.6 -0.2 -1.0 -0.6 -- 1.20 01:42 SPICAM -61( -250) 7 63 -0.5 -0.9 -0.5 -1.2 -0.7 Ha 0.86 01:55 SPICAM 0( -188) 0 63 -0.3 -0.8 -0.4 -1.1 -0.5 Ha 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:00 34 -4 11 260 (W) 277 pt. cldy none 21:00 32 0 9 241 (WSW) 238 pt. cldy none 22:00 31 -12 9 207 (SSW) 728 pt. cldy none 23:00 31 -15 15 211 (SSW) 431 pt. cldy none 00:00 32 -14 14 216 (SW) 233 pt. cldy none 01:00 30 -14 13 215 (SW) 146 pt. cldy none 02:00 32 -13 13 205 (SSW) 256 pt. cldy none 03:00 30 -11 15 224 (SW) 278 pt. cldy none 04:00 32 -2 10 220 (SW) 416 mst. cldy none 05:00 31 3 12 203 (SSW) 411 cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
