I called it a night at 4AM with 2-3 inches of fresh powder on the building we were not going to be able to open even if it did decide to clear. Telescope left parked due South. Roof should be check and snow removed, if necessary. Snow program didn't seem to want to slew the telescope after the initial slew so I quit the program and manually move the telescope about every 30-60 mins. Unfortunately there wasn't much of a wind tonight. ------------- FAILURE LOG -------------- PROG INST FAILURE MODE TIME (STEDFNVOG) TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------- 16:00 22 22 13 249 (WSW) 5944 cloudy fog 17:00 22 21 15 247 (WSW) 30958 cloudy snow 18:00 20 17 2 145 (SE) 932 cloudy lt snow 19:00 20 17 11 240 (WSW) 4807 cloudy snow 20:00 12 6 14 84 (E) 1992 cloudy lt snow 21:00 19 15 6 347 (NNW) 14 cloudy lt snow 22:00 16 11 8 9 (N) 115 cloudy lt snow 23:00 17 13 7 292 (WNW) 32 cloudy lt snow 00:00 16 12 3 289 (WNW) 60 cloudy lt snow 01:00 15 11 6 303 (WNW) 271 cloudy lt snow 02:00 15 11 5 254 (WSW) 355 cloudy fog 03:00 14 9 3 344 (NNW) 1699 cloudy none 04:00 13 8 7 341 (NNW) 214 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
